Episode 2: Avoid This Common Bad Advice and Start Distraction-Proofing Your Dog

Episode 1: Escape From the Sore Shoulders Club

Loose leash success IS possible

Lots of people are stuck in the Sore Shoulders Club: struggling to get their dog to stop pulling for years, without making much progress.

But that doesn’t have to be you.

By the end of this video series, you’ll understand why a lot of the stop-pulling advice out there is flawed – or at least incomplete – and that there is a better way.

You’ll see ways to avoid the traps and sticking points on the path to loose leash enlightenment, and be that much closer to getting out of the Sore Shoulders Club.

Who are we?

Jake and Erin Buvala, a husband-and-wife team (adorable, I know)

At 3LostDogs.com, we’ve been helping dog owners feel less lost since 2009.

I (Jake) started 3 Lost Dogs to provide simple, effective, and non-judgy dog training information to dog owners. For the last twelve years, I’ve been producing articles, videos, and ebooks that help people make it through the crappy parts of dog life, and get to the good parts.

After helping out “part time” for a couple years, Erin officially joined 3 Lost Dogs as my business partner in 2021. With degrees in science and journalism, as well as a long shelter volunteer career, she’s been a boon to this project. She makes sure the advice we give is up-to-date by digging through the latest canine scientific research. Sifting through the endless sea of information so you don’t have to.

The Academy is the next evolution in the 3 Lost Dogs project. We’re proud to be able to provide detailed video courses that show you exactly how to put the principles we’ve been preaching into action.

The dog training methods I use today are not the same ones I started my career with; I’m always learning and improving, finding better ways to help dogs and their humans. Erin and I are big believers in continuing education, and our idea of the perfect date is attending dog behavior/training conferences together.⁣⁣
